What is a PIN?
A PIN is a short number code (like 123456) that you create and use to unlock your computer.
Why use a PIN instead of a password?
- The PIN only works on your computer.
- Even if someone knows your PIN, they cannot use it on another device.
- It is faster and easier than typing a long password.
- You still need your work password for certain actions, but for daily login, the PIN is sufficient.
What to do if you forget your PIN:
- Click “I forgot my PIN” on the login screen.
- Follow the steps to reset it (your work password may be required).
- If you cannot reset it, contact IT.
