This document explains how to change the hostname in an Active Directory (AD) server after updating an HTTPS certificate with Globaleaks.

!! IMPORTANT !!

You must complete the tutorial Certificate - Update HTTPS Certificate with Globaleaks before starting this process.

Complete the Certificate Update:

1, Follow the Certificate - Update HTTPS Certificate with Globaleaks tutorial. When you are done, continue with the steps below.
2, Then remember to change this name and click Save.

3, Then go to the Active Directory server. Click Tools, then DNS.

4, Then look for the domain you need to change. There is also a blue square in this image. It can be useful to double check what the already exciting IP Address is, and copy/paste it into the company.lan folder. Do as the screenshots underneath shows.

  1. Right Click, choose Properties. Copy the IP Address.

  2. Then go back to the Company.lan folder, and right click the empty space Choose the option New Host (A or AAAA)…Then fill in and click Add Host.
