This document explains how to set up a slack space for your company.

Sign up:

1. Create an account here https://slack.com/intl/en-gb/ and choose your subscription for your company's needs. I will choose the free subscription for learning purposes.

4. Sign up with your company email address. I also chose the option "Of cource!" to Slack tips, news and offers, as it is a good way to keep updated on new features.

6. . You will get an slack confirmation email. Type the code in your email.

Set up:

1. Choose the company name and click next. Then type in your name. (Best practices is to fill in your whole name in a company setting). Then add a photo. It depends from company to company how strict they are about having an actual photo of yourself or is you want to be creative.
   
   
   Then add the users that should be in this space. That means all the employees. Then type in a name for your first Slack channel. Click Next.
   
   
   Now your initial setup is complete. The page here will look a bit different when you use a paid subscription.
